"Hey," Axel says, flopping down next to Roxas. It's the end of the day, and they're on the clock tower, just the three of them, and. Even if part of him thinks it'd be better if it were just him and Roxas, it's not bad that Xion's there, and hey, he brought enough ice-cream.

"Hey," Roxas replies, and smiles at him, as he passes the ice-cream over. And they chat, and eat their ice-cream together, like always. And then, when they're done, Axel passes over another ice-cream.

"Extra?" Xion asks.

"Yeah, why extra?" Roxas adds, although he's already taking a bite out of it. Axel just shrugs a little.

"Maybe today's special." And of course they're going to ask him why, but like usual, he's not gonna say. Not that this is something he can talk about anyway, but.

Today is Lea's birthday, and all he wants is ice-cream with his friends.
