The idea of this post if to create an easy way to share meta and other fannish things without the pressure to create a separate post. You can write your thoughts on a specific character or pairing - detail why X is more awesome than Y or just what makes you think so-and-so are best friends/enemies/lovers. You can share the music you listen to while writing/drawing KH fic and art. You can share what you think about a specific game, from 'not as good as XYZ', to critiques of art and costuming. The key part, though, is to just go ahead and comment.

If there is a topic you think needs to be added to the comment tree, then simply comment in the appropriate place, and let other people tell you what they think.

                                            Part of Riku's appeal is the contrast he provides to Sora. Sora is cheerful, open, unselfish and
                                              he makes friends with everyone he meets. In contrast, Riku is moody, more inclined to hide his
                                              real feelings, possessive about his friends and suspicious of the motivations of strangers. While
                                              Sora is a genuinely nice person, it's easier to relate to Riku because of these 'flaws'.

Anything about the Keyblade Master.

Well, I only managed to get an hour or so in before my PSP *DIED HORRIBLY, OMG!*, but BBS does imply that there was a lot more training involved for becoming a keyblade master than Sora ever got. BUT - as I understand it, the Keyblade War meant that the keyblade masters were decimated, so there wasn't really anyone to train Sora except for Mickey (who really seems to have spent a lot more time teaching Riku things).

Still, Terra's problems made me think of Riku, and also suggested that maybe their teacher has a few blind spots regarding darkness, and that perhaps Mastery has less to do with training and more to do with mastering your own heart, which would be extremely appropriate in game canon. Sora does kind of fall into it - particularly with the implications that it should have been Riku who got his keyblade - but the changes in him over the course of the game[s] suggest that he does grow into the role(and yeah, I'm thinking of the scene where he claims his keyblade back), even if 'Keyblade Master' is an overstatement at first.

Interestingly, the general attitude from those who could teach Sora about his abilities (Mickey and Yen Sid) seems to be 'Don't worry, you'll figure it out.'

The Re:coded secret ending is basically made of !!!! ARE YOU SERIOUS!? but uh. Yeah. It's very Nomura! And also AWESOME, but kind of. *flails*

Also, now that I think about it, you might as well save up for a 3DS, since that's what KH3D is going to be on. Which, spendy, but. =/ Better than having to buy two things, at this point.

Anything about Riku.

I'm... kind of surprised that there's nothing about him yet! I really like him as a character, and I wish that there were more opportunities to play as him (like in Chain of Memories).

He DOES seem really popular! Personally I think he's kind of an asshole, and that the Replica is 10000000x better than him, but I know I'm in the minority. ^^;;; So. Yeah.

It'd be nice to be able to play him, though! And Kairi! AND KING MICKEY OMG and, well. Everyone. *laughs*

Yeah, he did come across as a jerk all through KH1, but what made me like him as a character was seeing his side of the story in CoM. To me, he realized that he had made a mistake (a big one) and he was trying to redeem himself. It's been a while since I've played CoM, so the details could be a bit fuzzy but yeah! Also, I always dreaded Replica battles because I had a hard time telling who was who when Riku went into Heartless mode XDD

I'm not gonna lie, I let Sora die a couple of times while playing KH2 just to play as Mickey. I like the way he handles a lot better :X

True, true. Just, Iono. The way he tried to redeem himself also came across as pretty jerkish to me (I am going to fix everything! from the shadows! and not care that you're looking for me because I am not worthyyyyy!!), so. *laughs*
