COMMENTFIC FEST POST!
About! Almost entirely copy-paste from last year!
The format is more or less kink-meme style, but this fest is 100% fic friendly. By which I mean if you want to request/write G-rated gen fluff, that's perfectly fine! If you want to request/write dark non-con vore, that's also fine (and let's face it it's fandom, there's always someone into pretty much anything)! As long as it's properly labelled, GO FORTH AND FIC.
How to play!
1. If you want to read something, write a prompt! As long as you're not saying what you want step-by-step, it should be fine. [Edit]: I can't believe I even have to say this, but you can do as many prompts as you like. The more prompts there are there more will be written, after all!
2. If you want to write something, go look at the prompts! If something grabs you, write it! Doesn't matter if someone else has written something before, this is pretty much a free-for-all. You can also draw, if you like! Or do a combination of both, if you're really adventurous.
3. Rinse and repeat!
Please remember the rules and that spoiler warnings for 358/2 Days, BbS and Re:coded are in effect.

IDEK MAN 1/1
"...Huh?" The response isn't expected; he'd been alone a second ago! But it's only Roxas, so. That's okay. But it makes Axel take a breath, like he expects to feel something that he doesn't. That he can't. (And yet. And yet he almost does. Almost.) He turns and grins down at his new best friend.
"It's true, y'know. See, everything we see is 'cause of reflected light, got it memorised? An' it all starts out in a star somewhere," he continues, gesturing out at the black sky. Roxas, of course, follows his gesture. Looks out thoughtfully.
"...Then is Kingdom Hearts a star?"

Larxene spends three hours, once, sitting across from Naminé as she works, playing.
Naminé isn't sure whether she's there as a subtle threat or just because she wants to be. Larxene can't play with her unless she's bad, after all. Marluxia promised.
Nor is Naminé sure whether she can talk to her. Whether she dares talk to her. So instead she draws. A beach. And tries to look only at her hands, at her crayons, as Larxene traces patterns with her little blades on the smooth cool surface of the table. Screech like knives on glass. Naminé's nerves shatter at the sound.
Skreeeeeeee.
She looks up to see Larxene pursing her lips at her. Practically a kissy-face. Looks quickly back down to her work.
Skreeeeeeee.
She's working, after all. It's Destiny Islands. A panorama. She shades dark around the secret spot, and picks at flakes of wax under her fingernails. Maybe if she's quiet enough, Larxene will go away. Maybe if she's a good girl, all work and no play.
Skreeeeeeee.
Larxene gets up, paces, and sits back down with the little stuffed doll that lives in the cage, cradled in one gloved palm.
The screeching stops. Instead, Larxene's laughing, soft and sharp, and that's worse.
Naminé hunches her shoulders and doesn't look up.
When Larxene finally, finally spits at her and paces out, she finally dares to raise her head. The little white doll's dress lies in shreds. Delicate lines criss-cross fabric skin, bleeding stuffing. A lone kunai impales it between its stubby legs.
One of Naminé's crayons snaps in her white-knuckled hand. Dark sky blue. Sora's eyes. She needs that one.
Marluxia gives her a new one later. Doll and crayon both, the one holding the other, little plush arms wrapped around it, holding on for dear life.

He hadn't even realised he'd been doing it.
But the thing about being trapped in the dark realm is you have a lot of time. To kill, to survive... and to reflect. Riku's never really reflected on anything, before. Not properly.
And he doesn't like what he sees, now. Doesn't like it at all. The way he manipulated his friends, more than anything.
He hasn't been a nice guy, not at all. But he can change that, he can. The King promised.
So Riku is going to do whatever it takes, to make sure both his best friends are happy.

Eraqus finds them nearly an entire panic-filled hour later.
They are not in their beds, which is where they are supposed to be. Nor are they telling ghost stories in the library, which is where the frequently are, on balmy summer nights such as this one.
Logic tells him they have simply gone somewhere different, this night, and that a careful search will reveal their location, but Eraqus panics anyway. He is a Keyblade Master, and the head of his household, the lord of his world. He knows, instantly, whenever someone leaves, or arrives. Were there monsters appearing from the darkness, the world would scream its defiance, and he would hear. None of that has happened, and so they must be simply somewhere unusual.
Nevertheless, he panics. Even without some sinister threat there are so very many things that could go wrong, and what if...
He searches the castle, first - not everywhere, but the more likely places - and that is a mistake, because he eventually finds them on the cliff-top outside. Fast asleep, all three, Terra halfway towards being used as a mattress by Ven, and Aqua leaning against the both of them, as though she was going to sit guard, before she fell asleep as well. They are all quite fine - their pyjamas a little dusty, and it would not surprise him in the least if they'd been play-fighting before they slept, but otherwise exactly as he saw them before they went to bed.
He cannot in good conscience wake them. Young as they are, they need their sleep, and there is little merit in waking them to ease an old man's mind. Instead, Eraqus sits down. Summons Master Keeper, just in case, and watches over them, through the night.

I think Eraqus's view is fine, and his feelings come through really well. And I love the image of them when he finds them.

Ever since he was nine and his crazy-face dad decided that he was Now A Man and could be taught Manly Arts, like setting things on fire, Lea's stayed up ridiculously late on his birthday, snuck out to the paved expanses of the outer gardens, and, well, set things on fire. But not after sticking his head into Isa's second-story window and hissing until he wakes up, with his bare feet scrabbling for purchase on the brick. Grabbing his best friend's wrist and dragging him along, with Isa muttering and kicking him in the shins.
Every year. Isa lies back in the bonfire's warmth and stares at the moon, and Lea capers. "Like a goblin on pixie sticks, Lea, this is embarrassing." They burn locks of their hair, Lea's horrendous report cards, used popsicle sticks, pictures of Isa's detested dad, paper hearts, anything that explodes, names of girls they have crushes on--well, that's mostly Lea, but one year he catches Isa pulling a wad of paper out of his pocket and unfolds it to read Aerith Gains-- and falls over wolf-whistling.
The fires die with their hearts. The real things, not bits of pink tissue crumbling to ash on the night breeze.
Years later, on his Somebody's birthday, Axel opens a portal to the very tip-top of the castle with a face-splitting and empty grin, spins fire from his hands, and dances. For Roxas. Who stuffs his hands in his pockets and stares at him like he has two heads.
Saïx appears, stares at the smoke hazing the moonlight, and disappears a minute later with a small, tight frown.

This is perfect and brilliant and added Isa = <3<3<3<3<3<3 because I adore Isa. And the end bit, yes. Yesyesyes. <333
Okay, not terribly more coherent, but I have now read this like four times, still grinning like a loon okay. <3
no subject
It's kind of hard to avoid Isa if you're writing Lea. Like, at all. They seem pretty joined at the hip.
...I really need to somehow play 358/2 at some point, because Saïx kind of fascinates me and I really want to see the dots connected of how adorkable little Isa becomes him; plus I need to see whether my personal canon is jossed.
But yeah. I ramble. Thanks again!
no subject
It totally ruins the red oni-blue oni thing he and Lea have going.358/2 is totally worth playing, but be warned that it will rip your heart out and stomp on it.
no subject
Oh, I'm sure they red-oni-blue-onied in KHII, it was just offscreen.Yeah. I just played BbS. Which kind of did the same thing. Yay prequels?
no subject
BbS is heartwrenching. ;___; BUT IT HAS LEA AND ISA IN IT SO I FORGIVE IT. And also tinycute Ienzo. <3<3<3 So tiny. So cute.
And AQUA. <33333
no subject
...yeah, I kind of died when Lea and Isa ice-creamed it up in the credits. After getting scruffed by Dilan like the little troublemakers they are. Also, tinycute! With a custom-fit tiny labcoat. Aiii.
Aqua is MADE OF WIN. (As is demonstrated by the fact that I just went to type her name and it came out "squee" instead.) :D Especially when she gets all knightly. Mmmmm.
no subject
We all kinda died in the credits. Just. Lea and Isa. <3 Isaaaaa why did you have to grow up to be Saix? Whyyyyyy. ;__;
no subject
Because it's traaaaaaagic. And because he has issues with authority. Of the needing it kind. Esp. if he doesn't have a heart to follow instead. At least that's how I see it.
They're both such tragic little runtlings. ;___;

Or possibly he just likes Axel as a SUPER TRAGIC ANTIHERO or something, Iono.

Everything about Lea is sad but also adorable. The curse of prequels: we know how it ends. D:
